BeyondReviews vs Yotpo
We make BeyondReviews, so read this as our side of an honest argument. Yotpo is the category’s enterprise suite, and the one incumbent also selling AI visibility. The comparison is about who that promise is priced for.
Verdict
Choose Yotpo if you are a larger brand consolidating reviews, loyalty and subscriptions on one vendor, with the team to run it and the budget for a demo-led sale. Choose BeyondReviews if you want the part Yotpo sells at enterprise altitude, reviews that engines read and quote, as a product you can install today, starting free, with the reply work done for you.
- Yotpo: Larger brands wanting reviews, loyalty and subscriptions from one vendor.
- BeyondReviews: Stores that want every review answered and readable by Google and the AI engines, on the page, today.
Which is right for you?
Both claim AI search visibility. What is the actual difference?
Altitude and mechanism. Yotpo’s pitch is platform-level: structured review content for LLMs, an AI visibility score, and a Discover product that is custom-priced around your goals, reached through a demo. BeyondReviews does the work at the page level: reviews and replies written into your product page HTML where Google, ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity read them, with the replies themselves written to answer the phrases shoppers search. It starts free and you can view-source the result.
Which is better for a large, multi-product brand?
If you need loyalty, subscriptions, retail syndication and a customer-success team on one contract, that is what an enterprise suite is for, and Yotpo is a good one. But the readability job does not get easier as you grow, it gets bigger: a 4,000-SKU catalogue is 4,000 product pages whose review content a crawler either finds in the HTML or does not. Yotpo does not make that problem smaller, and their own docs put the server-side fix outside Shopify. BeyondReviews does one job, reviews answered and made readable, and does not try to be a platform.
How do the prices actually compare?
Yotpo’s App Store entry is $15 a month, its published Reviews tiers run $89 and $169 up to 500 orders a month, and Premium, Enterprise and Discover are quote-only. BeyondReviews publishes every price: free to 100 orders a month, then $29, $99 and $249, Enterprise from $750. Nothing on our pricing page says "talk to us".
What about the replies themselves?
Yotpo’s AI-assisted comments are a feature inside a large suite. BeyondReviews is built around the reply: your voice learned from your own writing, phrases read from your store’s own Google Search Console, rewrites when search shifts, human-only answers on one and two star reviews, and your approval before anything publishes.
Each tool in detail
Yotpo
The enterprise consolidator: reviews, loyalty and subscriptions on one contract, with the category’s deepest syndication and a real (if demo-gated) AI visibility story.
Yotpo · Strengths
- Reviews, loyalty and subscriptions from one vendor, with 100+ integrations
- Retail syndication through partner networks no smaller app offers
- A genuine AI-visibility product (Discover) and structured review content for LLMs
- Free migration of existing reviews and 24/7 support
- 4.8 stars across 4,635 Shopify App Store reviews
Yotpo · Trade-offs
- The strongest capabilities are demo-led and quote-priced; the published tiers cap at 500 orders a month
- Reviews and their structured data are both generated by Yotpo’s JavaScript, and the server-side option in their own docs is for non-hosted platforms and needs backend access a Shopify store does not have
- Built and priced for teams, not for a founder doing their own reviews at 9pm
BeyondReviews
The reply engine. Every review answered in your voice and written into the page HTML, where Google and the AI engines actually read. One job, done to the end, on every product page you own.
BeyondReviews · Strengths
- Reviews and replies in the served HTML, not injected by JavaScript afterwards. The crawlers that read pages for AI answers do not run JavaScript. Check it on any of the five with View Source
- Every review answered, in a voice learned from your own writing, carrying real phrases from your own Search Console data, not a suggestion box you still have to staff
- Product schema and aggregateRating on every product page, so your stars are eligible in the result itself
- Every price on the page: free plan, $29 to $249 by volume, Enterprise from $750. No demo required to find out what it costs
- Photo and video reviews and Google stars on every plan, including free
- Nothing publishes without your approval, and auto-approve never touches one and two stars
BeyondReviews · Trade-offs
- No loyalty, subscriptions or retail syndication. Reviews and replies only, on purpose
- Newer than Yotpo, without their installed base or partner network

Frequently asked questions
Is Yotpo’s AI visibility product the same thing as BeyondReviews?
They aim at the same outcome, reviews that AI engines read and cite, from different altitudes. Yotpo sells it as a custom-priced enterprise product reached through a demo. BeyondReviews does it at the page level, starting free, and you can check the result in your page source.
Should a small store buy Yotpo?
Yotpo’s own published tiers serve stores up to 500 orders a month, and its centre of gravity is above that. A small store gets the suite’s weight without the team to use it. That store is who BeyondReviews’ free and $29 plans are for.
Can I move from Yotpo to BeyondReviews?
Yes. Importing your existing reviews is part of setup, they count toward your rating from day one, and keeping your Google stars visible through the switch is treated as our problem, not yours.
