How to Export Reviews From Okendo (2026)
Okendo exports every review from Settings, Import/Export, as a CSV sent to the account owner’s email. The steps, the fields an Okendo review carries, what needs a separate job (media files, Q&A, surveys), and how to keep your Google stars through a move.
In the Okendo admin, go to Settings > Import/Export, click the export icon in the Reviews row of the Data table, choose All time and click Request Export. The CSV is emailed to the account owner rather than downloaded. Photos and videos travel as links, so save the files while the account is active, and ask support for your Q&A, which has no documented export.
Before you start: who receives the file
Okendo is a good, design-led platform with a premium feel, and its export is simple to run. The one thing that catches people is where the file goes. The export is not downloaded in your browser: it is emailed to the account owner’s address. If you are an agency, a freelancer or a team member doing the export for someone else, agree with the owner before you click, so the file is forwarded the same day.
Okendo’s own help centre does not carry an article on exporting reviews at the time of writing. The steps below are the ones documented by two other apps’ migration guides, Junip’s and Octane AI’s, which agree with each other. If a label has moved, look in the same place: Settings, then Import/Export.
How to export reviews from Okendo, step by step
The export sits beside the import tools, in the Data table under Import/Export. Choose All time unless you only want part of your history, because a date-limited file is easy to mistake for a full one later.
- In the Okendo admin, go to Settings > Import/Export.
- In the Data table, find the Reviews row and click its export icon.
- Confirm in the pop-up.
- Choose All time as the timeframe (or a custom range for part of your history).
- Click Request Export.
- Open the email sent to the account owner’s address and download the CSV.
- Keep the original untouched and work on a copy.
What is in an Okendo review CSV
Okendo does not publish a column list for its export file. It does publish the fields a review carries in its own import template, and those are the fields to look for in the export. Match columns by meaning, since header names can differ between the two. The names below are Okendo’s.
- productId, handle, sku, variantId: which product (and variant) the review belongs to. Check this is filled on every row.
- rating: the star score, 1 to 5.
- name, email, countryCode: the reviewer.
- title and body: the review headline and text.
- dateCreated: when the review was written.
- reply, replyDateCreated, replyIsPublic: your reply, its date, and whether shoppers see it.
- imageUrls and videoUrls: links to the media, not the files themselves.
- isVerifiedBuyer: whether Okendo matched the review to an order.
- isIncentivized: whether the review was given in return for an incentive. Keep this: the disclosure should follow the review.
- isRecommended, isApproved, status: recommendation and moderation state.
What the export leaves out, and how to get it
Media is the part with a deadline. The file carries image and video links, and links point at files hosted on Okendo’s side, so they are only as good as the account behind them. Save the photos and videos while the account is active, keep them somewhere you control, and keep a record of which file belongs to which review. Some import tools fetch media from the links for you; that only works while the links still resolve, so run the import before you cancel, not after.
Questions and answers are separate from reviews. Okendo keeps them under Reviews > Questions > Moderation, and its help centre documents a Q&A import template but no Q&A export, so ask Okendo support for your questions and answers in writing. Survey responses have their own export: Surveys > Survey List, open the survey, click Export under Results or Responses, then Export All; the CSV arrives by email.
- Photos and videos: links only. Download the files while the account is active.
- Q&A: no documented export. Ask Okendo support.
- Surveys: Surveys > Survey List > survey > Export > Export All.
- Shared reviews: Okendo can sync reviews between stores and syndicate them by product tag. Check which reviews were written for this store before you count what you are moving.
How to check the file before you rely on it
Reconcile the file against the Okendo dashboard: total reviews, oldest and newest date, average rating, and how many rows carry an image or video link. Count rows with no product ID, handle or SKU, because those cannot be matched to a product anywhere else. Then filter on isVerifiedBuyer and isIncentivized and note the totals, so you can confirm both flags arrived intact after the import.
How to keep your Google stars when you leave Okendo
Okendo turns on Google rich snippets by default, so the move has to hand that markup over without a gap. Google reads your star rating from the structured data on each product page when it crawls; it does not keep it anywhere. If Okendo’s markup comes out before the new app’s goes in, the stars can drop out of results.
Import into the new app and confirm its review markup is on your product pages while Okendo is still installed. Then remove the Okendo widgets and uninstall. Keep one set of review markup on each page at a time, and test a few pages in Google’s Rich Results Test afterwards.
- Import into the new app while Okendo is still installed.
- Confirm the new markup is on your product pages.
- Remove the Okendo widgets, then uninstall.
- Test a few product pages in the Rich Results Test.
Importing your Okendo reviews into BeyondReviews
If you are moving, BeyondReviews is the app we recommend moving to. Importing your Okendo reviews is part of setup, they count toward your rating from day one, and keeping your stars in Google through the move is treated as our problem, not yours. It is free up to 100 orders a month with photo and video reviews and Google stars, and the Maison plan includes a white-glove migration for larger stores.
Okendo is a premium way to collect and display reviews. BeyondReviews does that job too, then puts the reviews to work for traffic: reviews and replies are written into the page HTML, a reply is drafted for every review in your voice, and the phrases your customers repeat are put on the product page once you approve them, where Google and AI answer engines read them.
Frequently asked questions
How do I export reviews from Okendo?
Go to Settings > Import/Export, click the export icon in the Reviews row, choose All time and click Request Export. The CSV is emailed to the account owner.
Why did my Okendo export not download?
It is not meant to. Okendo emails the file to the account owner’s address instead of downloading it in the browser. If you are not the owner, ask them to forward it.
Does the Okendo export include photos and videos?
As links, not files. Save the images and videos while the account is active, and import before you cancel so any tool that fetches media from the links can still reach them.
Can I export Okendo questions and answers?
Okendo’s help centre documents a Q&A import template but no Q&A export. Ask Okendo support in writing for your questions and answers.
Will I lose my Google stars when I leave Okendo?
Not if one set of review markup stays on the page throughout. Import and check the new app first, then uninstall Okendo. BeyondReviews imports your reviews as part of setup and treats keeping your stars as its job.
